Balloon Meet Update - 24th June 2011
Weather wise Sunday morning is looking the best at the moment for flying, but maybe Saturday evening depending upon how quickly the wind drops. Please refer to our Facebook page for the latest information nearer the time.

Tower Tours & Pop Up Church Update - 24th June 2011
All Saints' Tower Tours can be booked over the weekend by going direct to the church - phone and email booking isn't possible after Friday night. The Pop Up Church will be hosting 'The People's Bible' - to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible. Visitors are invited to write two verses of the bible by hand, using a digital pen; their verses will be added to help form the complete 'people's bible', a hand-written copy of the bible to be presented to the Queen at Westminster Abbey in November. They will also be able to view their verses online. For more information see www.thepeoplesbible.org

What a great four days of arts, sports and entertainment Fen Edge Community Association’s volunteers have in store for us again this year. The venues are Cottenham – The Green, Front of CVC, inside CVC, CVC Sports Centre and Playing Fields, CVC New 6th Form Building, CCC – Coffee Shop, All Saints’ Church, Gardens around Cottenham and Car Parking off Histon Road. Tractor and trailer transport from Histon Road car park along the High Street to All Saints’ church will be available 1pm-6pm on Sunday.

CCC ‘s Coffee Shop will be open Saturday & Sunday 10:00-16:30 for delicious coffee, tea, cakes and lunches. Three new Willingham Venues are: The Ploughman’s Hall, West Fen Road, St Mary & All Saints Church and Willingham Social Club. This year we’re delighted to have a whole host of new events and activities. Highlights include the medieval Knights of Skirbeck who will be setting up camp for the weekend at Cottenham Village College and re-enacting old battles and showing off their impressive weaponry.

If the weather is good, there’ll be a colourful hot air balloon meet on Saturday but you’ll need to be up early to see the morning flights, or keep your eyes peeled to the skies in the early evening as the balloons float overhead. We’ll be publishing the latest news here. You can also join the mailing list for regular email updates and download and print off a revised schedule of events as things change. Events vary each day – don’t miss out. Stay all weekend!

Tim Eade sadly died on 1 October 2010. He did a brilliant job of marketing from the beginning of FEFF. Sunday evening at the Main Marquee is designed as a tribute in his memory. Please do join us for this event to conclude The 2011 Festival.
