Medieval
Re-Enactment
All Day Over the Entire weekend you can visit a medieval village, complete with its own Baldrick, Guinevere and Sir Bryan of Skirbeck. Meet the Knights of Skirbeck: a re-enactment group from Lincolnshire who bring to life late medieval history – the Reign of King Henry IV (AD 1399–1413). They live, eat, sleep and even fight with real weaponry throughout the Festival weekend! You are invited to investigate their dwellings and ask as many questions about life during this period. Check out their dwellings and to try on their armour or partake in a few light-hearted medieval games.
Apocathory Lady 10.00 - 17.00 Jayne Milner is a Historical Re-enactor, Demonstrator and Qualified Clinical Herbalist. 

See and smell the delights of medieval herbs and spices. Which ones do we still use to today? You can look, smell and buy some to take home and cook up your own culinary delights. Also learn about medieval remedies for the usual and unusual ailments – try these at your own risk!

Fire Brigade "Fire & Rescue" 10.00 - 17.00 Come and watch the Fire Brigade demonstrate their road accident procedures and rescue techniques as they dismantle a car in front of your eyes! No charge but donations to Fire Service Benevolent Fund gratefully received.

Raptor Foundation 10.00 - 17.00 Amongst the Medieval Village you can also find the Raptor Foundation. This local charity provides a rescue service, 24 hour care and rehabilitation facilities for injured raptors.Visit the static bird displays provided by the Raptor Foundation. Some of these these birds would have been a vital part of medieval life, come and find out why and how.

Yurt - Medieval Crafts for Kids 10.00 - 17.00 Children’s Medieval Arts & Crafts. Come and enjoy making a Medieval Knight, shield or a crown. £1 per item. Bubble swords available for £3. Bart Golf 10.00 - 17.00 Each day we are giving away a voucher for a round of golf at Cambridge Lakes Golf course. Chip the balls into the Simpson’s family mouths – how easy is that? The highest score for the day wins. (If the scores are tied the winning name will be drawn from a hat).

Stone Circle Display 10.00 - 17.00 These prehistoric remains which date back from 3000BC to 1500BC take the form of a number of stones standing in a circle. The reason for their construction and the role they played in the society of the time is mostly unknown. There are almost 1,000 stone circles across the British Isles and this display shows some of the many diverse circles.

Dolls House Display 10.00 - 17.00 The displays are a small part of a lifetime's work in miniature modelling by local resident Pat Labistour. Everything is completely hand made!
100ft Scalextric 10.00 - 17.00 Lewis Hamilton eat your heart out! Fun for all ages, the biggest slot car racetrack you are likely to see, four lanes of adrenaline pumping bends and straights. Light count down off the grid with lap times displayed. £1 a go for a warm-up plus a three-lap race.

Trampolining 10.00 - 12.00 Enjoy a taster session or refine your skills! An instructor will show you a few basic trampolining moves for those of you who have never tried it before!50p a go – suitable for adults and children over 5 years. Organised by CVC Sports Centre
Table Tennis Tournament 14.00 - 16.00 Are you (or were you ever) a table tennis fiend? If so, individuals can enter the Table Tennis Tournament where there will be three draws: 13 and under, 13–18 years, and adults. Play the best of three games with first to 11 points.

Zorbing 10.00 - 17.00 For the thrill seeking adrenalin junkies! Get harnessed inside a 3 metre high inflatable ball and then slide down a man-made ramp! The only restrictions are your nerves and being over 1 metre in height. Zorbing East Anglia are running this event. Must be seen and experienced! £4 per go
Drive a car Experience 10.00 - 17.00 A superb and unique opportunity for ages 14+, to get behind the wheel and drive a car. You will be given a brief introduction to the controls then supported as you take control and drive – often for the first time. £3 a go for approximately 10 minutes. Provided by TOPS Driving School.
